New Structure

New leadership is only a spark

Creating a robust infrastructure of many union members working collectively to improve working conditions is the top priority for Library on Fire, over our vision for the workplace.

Open meetings, strategic working groups

While the eBoard will retain fiduciary and official duties, the work of organizing, grieving, and negotiating will be controlled by committee meetings that any member can join. Those committees will set priorities and assign work. Read details about the plan in our zine:

Building consensus to build power

Where possible, the union will use consensus-based decision-making, accounting for and addressing (but not always accommodating) dissent. Union power is strongest when all workers trust that their needs and voices are valued.
